Okay I did a search and I found nothing, I like to word my problems in my own words...When I accelerate and even at smooth driving, (70) steady on the freeway it quits a little bit but still there, eccelarating is INSANE if feels like my car is going to vibrate till it falls apart like to the point where my TV looks like it's going to snap off it vibrates so bad, not a miss but a GNARLY vibration, I'm wondering if it's a bad motor mount and if anyone could help me out and give me some suggestions and if anyone lives in the Bellingham area that could maybe take a look and help me out.:dsm:

Okay, what would I look for as far as determining in it's bad or not?...sorry I'm an amature.

Check to see if the rubber is torn all the way around the mount surface. If so this will create a great deal of engine motion.

Does this only happen at certain speeds because if not it can be a number of suspension related components. Checking the mounts is always a good idea but I have two torn side motor mounts and I don't have any vibration under acceleration or steady driving. I'd maybe check the tires for slipped belts, missing balance weights, alignment issues or possible torn CV boots. Another thing to check for are blown shocks or struts (you'll see oil leaking down the body). Looks like you have plenty of stuff to look at.

Does it only vibrate under acceleration. Try driving and pay attention to when it does it. Accelerate and let off the gas. If it vibrates under throttle and goes away when you let off the gas it is more than likely a nad cv axle or if you are awd then maybe a bad u joint. If it only vibrates at certain speeds then it could be tires. Keep us posted. Travis

Well it does it at all speeds, some more than others, but at all. Really bad when accelerating and in lower rpm's, now there's a bit of a squeaking sound also????

Sounds like a bad axle. Jack up the front of the car and check your axles for torn boots. Also check your wheel bearings, balljoints and tie rods while your under there. If no boots are torn try hard left and right turns at slow speed to see if you can hear an axle clicking. That will help narrow it down.As far as a squeak could be brakes. Good luck and keep us posted. Travis

I'm having the same problem with my 2g, but the vibration on my car is only when accelerating in 1st gear, from a complete stop. If you step on the pedal lightly, it won't do the vibrating, but if you step on it any more than a little bit, then the vibration starts. As soon as I shift into 2nd gear, the vibrating stops. If anyone has any insight to this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.

dont mean to bring up an old thread but did any of you ever find out what it was? i have this same problem not so much the vibrating but i have an a/t and shifting from park to D or R it will shift really hard and shake the whole car and when accelerating there is a pretty loud squeaking happnes only when turning going over bumps or accelerating. its not the axles i just had them replaced i took it to les schwab to see if it was something in the suspension on the told me it was the front motor mount rubbing but the motor mount was not bad. why would a motor mount squeak and not be bad? and do they sound right that it is a motor mount?

Does anyone still get on here? I'm new to this whole thing. I have 97 gst, that I think has a bad transmission mount
