I'm about to run over to Radio Shack to pick up a 30 Amp relay to do the fuel pump rewire and a inline fuse holder. I've been reading up on it last night and came across somebody saying that it would be better to use a 20 Amp fuse rather than a 30 Amp fuse, so which is a better choice? Also it doesn't say where to place it. I'd assume it would be better to place it close to the battery?

The fuse is on the wire from the battery to the Relay so if there is a short it will blow out rather than cause a fire hazard.

I rewired my fuel pump and put a 15A fuse in. I've had no problems. It's better to have a smaller fuse in for protection then a larger one.

Yes, place the fuse holder close to the battery in the engine compartment.

Well I ended up getting the 30 Amp fuse holder because it was set up for 10 gauge wire and put a 20 Amp fuse in it. Thanks for the imput.
