I bought this O2 housing.. Where do I port & will it work on my car (pics)

So ya I bought this 02 housing that was saposto be ported 2 1/2 inches but we wont go there and he jiped me so Ill just have to port it my self now im jsut wounderingis there a difference with 1g housings and 2g? or are they all the same? Also I picked up some carbid bits and wanna port where should I port here. I post some pics so feel free to paintshop where I should port and send / upload them for me to see. It looks like he "tried to port" around but thats not the correct way

Based on the O2 sensor bung location, that's a 1G housing which is smaller than the 2G version.

Also, doing a search for the words port and housing would have netted you the same results.

Definitely get a 2g otherwise no sense in swapping yours out.

Difference is 2g is larger.

One way to tell a 1g from 2g is the 02 sensor bung is located close to where the dp bolts on a 2g.

Not to say that a 1g can't be ported out really nicely.

I have been running a ported 1g (on right) and just bought a new 2g, (on left) and as you can see the 1g ports are definately larger than the 2g. The downpipe port on the 1g is a full 3" where as the 2g struggles for 2 1/2"

I know I could probably port out the 2g to be better than the 1g, but I think I will put the 1g back in.

hmmm so I could port out the 2g to be ported better then the 1g? I just thought if I could port out this 1g and save the money in buying a 2g id do it...also which is better for not cracking?

ow I almost forgot maybe I should make a new post but well see... I see o2 sensors being that have Atmosphere dumps but what would you do with the o2 sensor?

sorry it was late Ok so I see o2 housings with Atmosphere dumps. Hows do those work in regards with where do you put the o2 sensor? how do you make it so that you can disable the o2 sensor? because if you dump it eliminates the o2 does it not?

KillerX; No matter what you do you would need an O2 sensor if you changed to any type of O2 Housing, the ECU is expecting to get a signal from it to tell it what the A/F Ratio is, with an Atmo. Dump, you still put it in. Just not into the Atmo. Dump Tube, you would put it in the main one.

They come with a spot for the o2 sensor just like your stock o2 housing.

ahhh look at that! they do have a spot for the o2 sensor! ok thats what I was so confused about because the ones I saw didnt look like they had spots for them and I was wondering how they got around that...ok I understand now thanks a lot guys!
