I have a 420a powered, manual, '96 Talon.
If I replace the clutch with a new OEM part, what will it withstand, easily?

I'm starting with a "performance" rebuild. My car has 150K so before I get the Hahn kit, I'm going to get it ready.
> Top & Bottom Rebuild Kits from Modern Performance
> Intake, Bigger fuel pump, Bigger injectors, upgraded ignition parts, Better cooling(radiator, new fans, ect.) and A piggy back fuel controller.
For the larger pistons that come in the rebuild kit I'm enlarging the head, and finally a port and polish for the intake manifold.

If I'm missing something major this first stage feel free to help

With all the mods you can do as long as you dont give it boost or something you should be fine. The stock turbo clutch can take about 250-300lb torque before it likes to go, not sure on the n/t.

Well since you go turbo it will handle what you got now..... The stock slutches really can't handle more then stock, but hey i have a buddy thats been running with stock clutch for along time and np's and he running 250hp... But i say when your going to do add ons might as well change the clutch as well...:thumb:

Clutches are rated in how much torque they can hanlde. If I'm not launching my car how much do you all think a 90 awd can take. I don't really have the cash to buy a new clutch. Also if i got a clutch is it necasary that i get a flywheel as well or just recommended?

I believe OEM clutches are rated at 250 ft/lb of torque. If you plan on modding extensivly plan on getting a clutch that will last.

yea, sry, i forgot the Apexi N1 exhaust

Actually I have another ? too.
> Can I run 10.5:1 comp pistons, with a turbo boosting at 10PSi, Without having to add some kind of injection system to keep the temp down??(Water,Nitrous)
Im doing the rebuild first then maybe a year down the road, im getting the turbo. I know the 8.6's would be better with the turbo, but i dont think i want to run those without having a turbo. I have a feeling it would lag really bad.

that's easy, it will handle the horsepower that the car came from the factory with:shhh:
