My car still wont start i have checked, double checked and tripled checked all the fuses. I got the starter and solenoid tested at schucks that checked out good. The starter is getting power to it. I also checked the ignition thinking that might be the problem but thats not it eithther i am running out of ideas. thanks -chad

car is a 93 awd turbo talon 6/4bolt. mods are, front mount, act 2600 clutch, dsmlink, 650 cc injectors, small 16g turbo, turbo back exhaust. walboro 255 fuel pump and other small stuff.

accessories turn on and engine does not turn over. All that happens when i turn the key over is a few clicking noises which is probaly just solenoids.

Check for fuel getting into the motor, and check for spark getting to the motor...Since you had the starter checked out Im assuming that your car wont even turn over, so then spark or fuel shouldnt be the issue, do you have acessory power?? Give us some help, and we will give you ours.

What is your static battery voltage? About 12.6v is what you should have. If this is not the case, you should charge your battery and see if the car cranks. If it will not crank on a full charge, a load test will have to be performed on the battery. If you have a VATT tester (which you probably don't) you can do it yourself. If you don't, you can take it to your local parts store and have it done. Make sure no matter who load tests the batt, they fully charge the batt and remove the surface charge BEFORE any testing is performed. If you batt isn't up to par it doesn't matter if you have a brand new starting system, your car isn't going to crank.

Hope this helps...

I just got done with a problem like this, the bendix would throw but nothing would turn. I load tested the power supply and it was good, my solution was shimming the starter by putting a washer in between the starter and bellhousing. Now it starts everytime!

How much should the voltage on the big wire drop if any after you try and turn the key. The other wire on the starter is that the igniter wire? anyways whatever wire that is it is not getting anypower when key is turned like it should! what does that mean?

i had the same exact problem with my 95 tsi awd, it ended up being the small plastic insert peice that pushes up on the clutch swith at the clutch pedal,on mine it just brole and fell off so the rod of the switch was just going thru the hole on the clutch pedal tab.
