alright. start from the beginning. problem all started after i had changed the valve cover.
car was running greate, i had only a few thousand miles on it after having the head rebuilt and the car tuned.
i changed the valve cover to a polished one. the way i recieved the car, directly from the shop (AR Fabrication, in west virginia i think, i dont remember), the left port on the valve cover was open, and the PCV valve port was plugged up. the intake manifold was capped off, and there is no nipple in my hks intake for the other hose.
when i put the new valve cover on, i did it the same way, plugged the pcv port with the other one open. after driving, i was smoking real bad out the back. checked the pipes, oil in the intercooler pipes, so the conclusion was the turbo. I assumed it had blown because it was still the 14b on the setup after everything else had been upgraded. it was driven this way, minimal boosting the entire trip, for maybe 8-10 miles. i took the turbo out, replaced it with a mitsubishi big 16g. took it for a test run, and got the same smoke. so i could only guess the last thing i had touched, was the valve cover. i removed it, and checked the ports, the one i had left open, assuming it was clear, (the port of the left side of the valve cover) was internally plugged up. so both ports were plugged up, i guess leaving no place for the excess pressure to go but through the seals.

i switched back to the old valve cover, same setup without the pcv. but this time i left both ports unplugged. it has been driven this way for months. it smokes under boost, but i assumed that was damaged caused to the seals in the turbo. and i took it for what it was.

but i have been led to believe that this may have something to do with leaving out the plug in the pcv valve port on the valve cover? the car is tuned with dsm link, as how i got it when i bought it. i do not know why it is setup without the pcv valve. i feel like the car is burning excessive amounts of oil, and after an oil change, it gets very dirty a lot faster than it should.

where should i start to target this problem? i checked the lower intercooler pipe today and there really was no oil in it. the oil level in the car was low. i have oil coming out of the oil cap.
is it possible that the smoke is something else? i only notice smoke under boost. the car was tuned for a 14b, and i swapped to a big16g, and its on the same tuning. there is about 12k on the engine since the head was rebuilt, between 40-50k on the engine total, and head gasket replaced with a metal gasket and upgraded head studs. i believe all mods are in my profile. the last time i checke,d the compression was good, the condition of the car has not changed since. i will check agian after the next time i drive it.

should i plug the port back up as it was when i got it from the shop? should i put the pcv valve back in?

You have to plug the PCV back in and use a filter or catchcan for the vent. You need something to vent crankcase pressure otherwsie it will find another way out. Usually you will pop the dipstick out before anything else. Your turbo seals are probably going out before of the excess pressure built up in the crankcase. In short, get the PCV valve reattached and either get a filter or catchcan for the vent off of the side of the valve cover.
