is the filter set up in the same spot as on my gsx? that is, is it toward the front of the engine bay on the drivers side? because if so, there's really not anything i can think of on the top. there's stuff on the sides, but as far as i remember, there's not a single thing running from the top of the oil filter housing.

yeah its on the front left on the drivers side, i have no clue actually where its comming from oil is everywhere! but when the car is sitting its all onthe drivers side, ps i forgot to mention it only leaks under pressure:thumb:

check all of your oil lines running to that filter housing. there's a couple rubber ones that actually supply the oil to and from the filter housing. not unthinkable that they could have been messed up. the turbo feed line, if you're running a stock turbo still, is bent metal tubing with compression type fittings on either end. not very thinkable the problem would be there.

While it is nice to theorize about all these possible oil leak sources, lets take a slightly more scientific route.
Clean up all the oil, every greasey, dank and gnarley lookin spot in, on and around that engine. When the oil leak resurfaces you'll be able to pin point exactly where and why.

Congrats on the new ride (start a savings account ASAP!):dsm: :thumb:

awesome ill check it out tomorrow, since there rubber they could have dry rotted maybe? yeah the whole car is stock.... well i guess thats what i get for 1500 bucks LOL, any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.. 1 day with a dsm and already i have head pains ROFL ROFL :talon: no kidding i paid cash for the car, im gonna have to take a loan out to fix it LOL

thats the first thing we did when we pulled into the parking lot, the tow truck driver stuck his head under there and said it didnt look like the filter was leaking but who knows :(

I have personally seen a car puke out all of its oil when the filter housing came loose. Check the big bolt under the oil filter and make sure it is tight. My friend spun a bearing like that...

ya the next day i ripped into it and here the oil cooler has a crack in it.......so i need a new one, satan wants 450$ WTF
