Just a bit of curiosity I need satisfied here. All the threads I search out say that a torque converter is the best performance mod you can do for your auto car yada yada yada. My question is why? What is it going to do for me? I understand it gives you the ability to have a higher rpm when brake boosting hence you can spool a bigger turbo sitting on the line. But what else do they do for you? I'm only running a 14B on my 2G FWD, I can get full boost on my stock converter which leads to a smoky sit in one place through second gear burnout as it is. So would I be wasting time and money upgrading to a higher stall converter or is there some other hidden advantage to having one?

. If I were still buying things a pump/injectors/fmic would be the next purchases followed by a 50 trim and converter
