My friends had a NA 4g63 swaped into a mirage and it does'nt idle very well when cold. any ideas guys? thanks. -Chad

Chk ISC motor and plugs.

If he's talking about a rough idle upon starting a previosly fully warmed engine after it's been sitting for 10-30 mins (like when you go to a store and come back out) definately put some intake valve cleaner into the gas tank to help that situation.

same thing different name. isc = idle speed control motor.

does it idle low and lumpy or does it idle too fast? is the FIAV hooked up? (the 2 coolant lines on the bottom of the throttle body.

On a cold start during the winter mine is at about 1500 rpm and a warmed up engine should be 750 rpm +/- 100.

and if possible you should really check it with a logger. i've seen stock tachs be off by 200rpm which will screw you up trying to set the idle

well mine is idleing around 1300-1800 so i guess i need to start going over the IAC and all that jazz.. also what should the TPS sensor voltage be???

you cant just turn the screw the computer wont allow it. you can turn it all you want and its not going to change the rpm idle. Thats the way it works with the 2g anyway.
