Hello all,
I have a question that I hope someone could help me with. I have a 95 GS with an automatic Trans. When I am looking under the hood under the air cleaner box the is a plug that is in the top part of the tranny. What is this? I looked in my Chilton Manual, but do not know really what to look for. What ever it is, it makes a slight ticking noise while in gear, does anyone know if this is normal? Can someone please shed some light for me?
Thanks
Chris

Gonna need a picture of this. Is it an elec. plug or something else. Could be the vent. Could be the reverse light switch.

It is definately an electrical plug with a hard black plastic around it. If it is the reverse light switch should it be ticking while in drive?
Thanks
Chris

Ok I have a picture of the part on the Transmission. Could someone tell what this is and why it is ticking.
Thanks
Chris

Wow, is there not one person here that could tell me what this plug is? I really need to now and why it is ticking in drive. Also can it be replaced?

Chris

I'm going to take a guess because I'm not really familiar with N/T or autos. My guess would be a solenoid if its ticking. Look for a mitsu part number and I could tell you what it is.

Be careful with muiltipe posts or bumping. Moderators frown upon it. Just a tip.

Thanks for the tip and info. I will look this evening to see if I can find a part number on this plug and will repost.

Thanks again

Chris
