Ok...Last night, I had went to start up my car after work and the sucker didn't start. All of the lights on the inside and the headlights work perfectly fine except for the cranking up part so I know that the battery is alright. Also, I could hear the starter clicking but I still couldn't get it to start up. WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY CAR???

See how much voltage your battery is putting out when you turn the key over. If it is dropping a lot, like down to 8V then your starter is probably bad. I just replied to a post like this a few days ago. Searching will get you a long way. Do your dash lights dim when you go to crank it over or do they stay lit up?

I checked the test lights and they barely, barely dim. I also the other day that when I turn on my turn signals, the rest of the lights on the dash dim every time it the turn signal clicks.

Sounds like a bad battery from a bad alternator. Did you try jumpstarting the car yet. And hooking a voltmeter up would significantly cut down the possibilities.

I don't have a voltometer but, last night I tried to jump start it. Even after 5 minutes of trying to charge the battery up, it still didn't work. And the alternator is pretty new...like a week and a half old.

Most likely a starter issue then. Most parts store's can test it there to ensure it's bad.

I definatly think it is a bad starter, went through that myself. You said that you hear a clicking when you try to start your car, right? Is the motor turning over when you here this or is it just sitting there and clicking? If it is sitting there clicking then your starter is bad. Hope that helps, Keith.

Thanks. There's an Auto Zone here in the parking lot of my job so, I'll have to go there and get me a voltometer since I can take it there. 95blackGsTurbo...you have been really helpful with my problem threads. Thanks alot!
