Hi there, I used to have my safc settings at around -28 from 1k to redline, and when I hit boost, at WOT, it just starts to sputter and buck... around 4k to 5k, then kinda keeps going... after that.

but I just leaned out from 1k up to redline to -30 on the safc, it seems to be a lot better, no more bucking, but when I logged it, my timing/o2 voltage seems weird... My car actually pulls pretty hard during boost WOT, till around 4.2k and just flattens out(no sputter or bucking), so I just let off at around 6k rpms..

3.5k 4k 4.5k 5k 5.5k

.91 .97 .97 .97 .97 o2 voltage

18 9 10 10 14 timing...

I'm scared to go up higher in the rpms, ### it wont even pull as much past 4k.... so there must be a problem.. but the o2 voltage does not indicate lean... Please help me out!!!

thanks!
Mark

by the way, I logged using my Lap top tunerstein... my palm pilot came in, but the battery on it was SHOT! so i was desparate and bought a null cable to connect to my laptop... it's pretty cool to beable to clear cel's etc...

great, thanks, also, It it's still rich, why is it pulling back timing?? since I have 650cc injectors and a lot of NEGATIVE correction on the AFC, won't hide the airflow from the ecu and the ecu will issue MORE TIMING??? thanks,

Mark
i'll start to really log when i get my palm pilot.

okay.. here are my safc settings... -33 accross the board on Hi settings... here is the log on that... How does my timing look?? it looks as if it is pulling timing on top end... specially on the -35 settings below...

## knocking around 4800-5000 on your -35 setting, just add fuel and do another run. i dont know how u do your tuning, im also new to the safc scene, a lot of the guys here helped me out and told me to add fuel where you start to see dips in your timing. works for me, just make sure you dont have any boost leaks so you get an accurate tune. goodluck!

Thanks man! i moved it back to -33 on 5k and -34 at 4k... I think I may need to re tap the throttle position sensor wire on the safc because sometimes it doesn't read any voltage!!! but the logger still sees the throttle position, so that is also what screws it up ### it changes correction % according to throttle position. thanks for the help!

WOW man, that's almost 300whp!!! on 17psi with a big 16G!!!! WOW!!!! with safc and 560cc injectors!! awesome man! you're giving me some hope here!! i'm boosting 15psi right now till i get the tuning right then i'll ###### invest some cash on a couple dyno runs ### i got pulled over already for street tuning., but cop let me go...

good to hear man, what octane are you using? im kinda limited on 17psi here since i only have 91 octane to tune. im sure others here have tuned more than 17 on 91 but for me, i cant seem to get a good smooth rising timing curve pass 17 without richening it up and loosing power. anyways, if you need any more help or motivation :) just hit me up, congratualations!
