quick boost question

Hey guys i just got a 97 gst with a 13g on it(t25 went bad on the kid so he took it off his other 1g auto) but their is no boost controller, it has a hks ssqs BOV and 2 1/2 turbo back with no cat so the boost spike real high and hits fuel cut everytime i really get on it... is their any way to limit the boost (their is no BCS anymore) until i get a boost controller..thanks i appreciate any help

How much boost are you spiking to? Does it hold boost at a certain psi? Does it just spike and keep rising? Or does it creep up the higher in the rpm you get.

Just run a direct line from a pressure source to you wastgate nipple and it'll run at the stock wastegate setting around 10 or so psi.

it goes up too like 25-30 psi ...i just got a boost controller from someone today..but thank you for the help

did you checked the wastegate actuator???? because only the wastegate actuator could cause your described problem,if you got i 2.5 catback,so its lil posible of boost creep,but not that high like you said again check the wastegate actuator
