IM sorry if this has been asked already if it has point me a link where it has been at. I got a 1991 eagle talon turbo awd the rings are bad from boost spike. So it runs like shit burns so much ####ing oil and two cylinders have like 50 psi compression. I want to know if i can put the NA 4g63 in it will that affect anything i know the compression is different in the motors and i know the other one has big rods and sleeved block and other shit to make it handle boost. I just want to know will it fit right in and can i run the stock 13 14 psi on that block. Im just looking for any information because i want to get this done quick because my dads mad that i already got three cars so i need to fix her up and ethier sell one of my other cars or the talon. Just any information would be great. THANKS :talon:

The pistons are weaker and neither block is "sleeved".You can run your 13-14 psi,but the first time is detonates the pistons will break. But it will physically run,but you should fix it right.

This goes along the old sayings of, "Do it right, or do it twice," and, "you can pay now or you can pay later."

An N/T block can be used, but those pistons don't take kindly to knocking and when it goes, you'll be back to square one. Either do a proper rebuild or find another turbo engine to replace it with.

well its ethier that or i have to get rid of the car what would you do

I would think there are a few other options than those two. Neither are necessarily rational options. Do as the others have suggested and look into more appropriate options, many are not terribly expensive.

I would find either replacement turbo engine, or order a complete rebuild kit from slowboy racing or diamondstarmotorsport.com and rebuild the engine that's in there. If you put a n/t engine in there, complete with the not-so-knock tolerant pistons they have, it'll be a short time before you crack a piston and then you'll be back in the same boat, but in worse shape because you'll have a non-running car instead of one that can still limp along.

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48231, see the first two paragraphs and you'll see why putting an n/t engine in and trying to run 13 psi is a bad idea.

We're just trying to help you save your money and your car.
