I've searched alot and for some reason just don't seem to get the answer i'm looking for, so i know this is going to be some what repeatitive. I have a tdo6 20g waiting to go on, and am stuck with what fuel path to follow. I first purchased a walbro 190lph fuel pump planning to use on my FP T28, but never got around to installing it. Right now i have 650cc and 750cc injectors, and am trying to figure out which to sell. Basically what i'm asking is this:

Will 750cc injectors be too much for a 190lph fuel pump? From what i've read it's very possible that i would max out the 650cc, but i can't find a definate answer on what a 190 can support. I'm still torn between DSMLink, a chip, or an SAFC. From what i've read the 20g doesn't come alive till 20psi or up, so that's what i would like to run. I'm tired of flip flopping between setups, so i hope you guys can help me make up my mind. Thanks, and sorry for :beatentodeath: mods feel free to delete.

EDIT: Also, i know that an SAFC is going to be hard to tune for anything over 650cc, so that's what i figure if i'm getting DSMLink or a chip i mise well go with the 750cc since i can just as easily tune for those as the 650's, but the fuel pump is what is holding me up.

if you have the money go with dsmlink. or you could get a chip (dsmchips.com) and fine-tune w/ SAFC. thats what i'm planning on doing.i heard it works wonders :thumb: !
besides just compensating for the injectors, you can get so many other options that will help you tune. check out the website

as for the fuelpump, i would go with 255 lph or supra. the 255 is same price as 190 i believe, but you will need AFPR. i think supra is 280 lph

good luck

The answer varies depending on how much boost you run. At 15 psi boost the rewired 190 will theoretically support 2418cc/min of injector (604.5cc/min per injector), at 20 psi boost it will do 2165cc/min (541.3cc/min per injector), and at 25 psi boost it will do 1845cc/min (515.6cc/min per injector). My advice for either set of injectors would be to run at least a 255hp with an AFPR, or a Supra pump with an AFPR. Rewiring either would not be a bad idea, although even if you don't they'll probably support more fuel than you'll need.

If my injectors out flow my SAFCII Im gonna be one mad tuner....

Injectors don't outflow an AFC. The AFC may correct for them but correcting for airflow and correcting for fuel volume are two different things. That's why on larger fuel pumps an AFPR is needed to address the issue of overrun where the stock regulator is being outflowed (fuel volume). While this diminishes as you get into the boost there's no way to guarantee a 1:1 rising rate for fuel pressure to boost. That's where the AFPR comes into play.

Make sense?

Andy

Thanks for all the responses, i think what i'm going to end up doing is selling the 190 fuel pump and 650cc injectors in favor for the 255 and a FPR. Thanks again.
