My Nitrous Install

since I cannot install into the n/t nitrous subforum i decided to post a pic on my install on here. It took about 2hrs to do. Later that day my alternator failed.

I just got the bottle yesterday I will post pics of it when i get the chance. It is an Edelbrok bottle, used a little, but very nice ($100). I am runing a 50 shot setup and have jets for 75. I will not go 75 with the dry system though (dont trust it that much). In addition my buddy put in some arp headbolts and a cosmetic headgasket for only $100 +labor (beer).


MY nitrous total

EFI setup - $60-80 on ebay
Bottle - $100
Gasket & Bolts - $100

Total= $260-280

not to bad i dnt think.

i really got a deal on the gasket and bolts because he used to be a DSMer and ended up selling his car but had alot of parts left over from a buildup he was going to do. Ive known him since mayb freshman yr of hs

do you have gauges? nitrous and gauges are very inportant

Yes I do. The bottle is now mounted behind the passenger seat. Right off the bottle is a pressure gauge.

'TooFast' - Huge difference. Before nitrous I had issues keeping up during cruises / races. Now, i have more than I need. Bottle filling does get expensive though. It will be even more of a difference when I install my header once the weather gets nice.

What are you using for fuel compensation and tuning. Any dyno numbers.
