I searched and came back with 1 thread related to this, but didnt fully cover it. What can i use to get the paint off and should i hose it all off?

When I got mine it had been spray painted black, I used heavy duty stripper (just check and make sure it's for use on metals) and did that two or three times. Just be careful with the fins because you really can't use a wire brush like other things in this case...makes it a lot of fun to say the least....
Good time to re-straighten fins as well as clean the intercooler though.

You can use those small roll lock scotch brite rotary pads. While you're doing that you can also polish it. You can buy those at home depot, Murrays, and other automotive places. They are round and you can get the FMIC clean and ready for polishing.

Thanks, any other kind of paint strippers/removers that i can use and possibly wipe most off and spray it with a hose?

aircraft coating remover, it's for aluminum.. it'll take anything off.. check your local autoparts place.. mine has it.
