Front o2 sensor and A/F gauge

ok so here is the deal about a year and a half ago i bought my 95 gst from a guy and it had already had slight mods done such as gauges and stuff, well the 02 sensor went out not too long ago and when i replaced it all of a sudden the A/F gauge doesnt work and the new 02 sensor doesnt work either, i am thinking some wiring got messed up when i switched the 02 sensor out so i was wondering does a A/f gauge tie into the front o2 wires?

What kind of O2 sensor did you swap in? Was it an OE Bosch type, first time fit like stock? Because if you didn't have to touch the wiring, it probably isn't the wiring. Could be a bad O2 despite being new.

Nah brand new from mitsubishi and when i took the old one out i remember there being like a wire spliced into them but i dont really remember where it came from or where it was connected but i am pretty sure it was the wiring i am just wondering if anyone else has there a/f wires spliced into the 02 wiring
