I drive a 95 Eagle Talon N/T I was driving home yesterday evening, and I didn't push the car harder than normal meaning I wasn't driving it like it was stolen. But I came up to a light and noticed that there was some grayish white smoke coming out from under the hood, it wasn't billowing out but it was definitely noticeable. My temperature gauge was not going up it was staying level. I pulled over a couple of times and popped the hood to see if I can see where the smoke was coming from, and I couldn't tell, it was dark out so it was hard for me to see. So today I was driving to work and noticed the smoke, this time I pulled over to a parking lot, during the day this time, I popped the hood and could see the smoke but could not tell where it was coming out exactly from, it was almost like it was coming out from below the actual center of the engine, but at the same time, I couldn't tell if it was coming out from the actual top either. The smoke kind of had a almost sweet bitter smell to it. Like I said my temperature gauge was not doing anything out of the ordinary it bounces up a little when I am stopped but immediately goes down once I start driving. Also there has been no dramatic drop in performance or power either.
If anyone could give any kind of suggestion on what this could possibly be or where I should start looking to fix this issue.

Thank You in advanced!!

Have you had your oil changed lately? or spilled any fluids? Just checking cause sometimes if spilled enouph they can burn of. Just a thought though.

Make sure your exhaust is not leaking.

Not sure if fuel would cause smell sweet, but thats how I would describe it. I guess check that as well.

To me it sounds like an exhaust leak, especially being a N/T.

A sweet bitter smell sounds more like a coolant leak issue, check all your radiator hoses and see if there are any leaks...

I am due for an oil change, and I am usually pretty good on staying on top of that, but my oil light had flashed once or twice, especially during sharp turns, so I put 3 qts of oil in today, and didnt spill any. But after adding oil I was still getting the smoke, of course it was only a couple of minutes after that I noticed smoke, I dont know if I should wait awhile, and still see if I got smoke or not.

You probably over filled the oil you should do an oil change check the dip stick first to see what the oil level is at. I am pretty positive that this is your problem. take it in and have an oil change. you may still get a little smoke after this for a short time because you have oil in your intake take your car and get the oil changed immediatly!

And check your coolant level! If you are leaking coolant (lots of overheating problems can cause coolant to overflow) then it'll burn off white/whispy, bitter sweet smell. Also, if you have bubbles in your coolant it could cause the temp sensor to bounce. Check your coolant, also check for typical headgasket symptoms.

He said he added three quarts of oil then it started to happen he probably over filled the system now it is in his intake.

I read this:
so I put 3 qts of oil in today, and didnt spill any. But after adding oil I was still getting the smoke

So it sounds more like he saw the smoke (like he said in his first post), then decided to add oil and it was still smoking.

Adding 3 quarts without checking levels is a bad idea. We still don't know, did you check the dipstick at all? Also, the temp gauge should be pretty steady. If it bumps up a bit at idle, perhaps your fans are not running correctly or there's debris in front of the fan. But the best thing to do right now is check your fluids. Is there enough coolant or too much oil?

That seems the first time he noticed the smoke was when he added the oil it is very unclear though the way he states it. He needs to respond and tell us so that we know.

I got this one. On the 420a motor both the upper and lower heater hoses are metel, except behind the motor and right above the exhaust manifold and the lower hose has a rubber part near the middle of the tranny bellhousing. Anyway the upper hose will leak rightn onto the manifold casuing white smoke with a sweet smell. Get a new piece of house and some good work gear clamps and go to town buddie.
