ok so im building up my motor and i just got the head back from the machine shop ,i installed my new valves ,valve seals ,primed the lifters than dranded them and made shure that thay whould compress easy and put my new rollers on . so my question is i have new hks cams and i went to put the intake side in and the lobes compress on a cupple of the valves ,now i dont have the head on the block yet so whould it be better to put the cams in whin i have it on the block or will it be ok if i tork them on while its off the block im just worryed that it pushes on the valves far enuff pushing them down and causing the head to rest on a cupple valves and im putting them in with the dowel facing up i just wanted to get the head all done so i could just bolt it to the block

Wait until you have the head installed on the block and torqued down so you can get proper torque on the caps. And for the love of god use spellcheck.

You can type it out in Microsoft Word or Works or whatever you use, and then use their spellcheck. Then just copy and paste it.

I'm going to do you a huge favor and get these guy off your back.

I'm not the best speller in the world ether and if your any thing like I was in high school, it really sucks to limit your vocabulary because your not sure on a words spelling.

Follow this link and install the program. Its the best spell check I've come across. It should load itself on your Explorer menu bar. But, if you've upgraded to the new Explorer 7, then it may be in your tools file.

The nice thing about this one is it will go any were you are on the inner net.

I use it every day; and trust me, the more you type the better speller you will become. Its that simple!!! Some of these guy probably type thousands of words a day, when we may type a thousand words a month.

Oh ya, good choice on a screen name. I'd change mine if I could; I didn't spend much time making this one up, and now I'm stuck!

woo all this over spelling and now I got a negative point against me what is that all about , and to ad to my question cant I just install the cams in the head off the block and then when I get it on the block tork it down ? I guess with the bigger lobes on the hks cams it might push down on a couple of the valves but not enough to hurt them if the head is off the block right?

We don't allow bumping and yes all this over spelling. If you cannot take the time to post properly we are not going to take the time reply.
