evo 8 turbo from ebay

The Evo8 turbo will not fit our dsm's without intensive modification to make it fit. It does not bolt up to out manifolds, the inlet side of the turbo is on the drivers side, not the passengers side like our cars, the 02 housings are different......for the cost of making it fit, you could buy a brand new turbo that flows more cfm than the evo8. IMHO its not worth it.

yes i know that a factory evo 8 turbo wont bolt up ud have to turn the turbo 180 degrees in order to get it to fit because the intake side of the turbo is where our exhaust side is. but what if this company actually made one that could bolt up to our cars?

mmmm.... by the pictures it looks like it does fit the dsm. It most defenitely is not an oem evo 8 turbo. It says it has a big 16g compressor wheel meaning its pretty much a big 16g turbo. That is smaller than the evoIII

The link that you provided will fit our dsm's however, it is an ebay turbo, people have had good luck with some, other have failed within days or weeks. Its up to you, as you are the one paying for it, and not me. I however, would stay away from ebay turbo's, just from all the bad things i've seen happen.

Jay pretty much summed it up.

Some people have had good luck with them, for now. In the long run, who knows how long they'll last. They're not made by Mitsubishi, despite what the advertisement tells you. When it comes to ebay turbo's: Caveat Emptor.

The thing about those turbos is that a dsm part distributor told a chinese company to make an EXACT duplicate of the mitsubishi big evo 3 16g. so they are exactly like them except for one thing. manufacturing process. Materials, and production methods. They were designed to be cheap. AND heres the best part. the chinese company saw a potential to make money so instead of only selling these to the company that contraced them they sold them to anyone. Then the company posted all sorts of bad things about the turbos. like the suck, they will break in a day or two. Well they were going to sell these to us as a great turbo. Think about it.

Good luck with it just know that your getting an inferior big evo 16g, as far as quality it should still however equal it in performance.

I wouldn't buy any turbo off ebay unless its actually an oem one that I plan on rebuilding. These days you never know what your getting off ebay.
