Today when I went to start my car (and a few other times in the past) it would turn over and slowly die. I will give it gas and it'll attempt to and die. After doing this 3 or 4 times it'll finally start and blows out white smoke and black smoke. I drive it everyday and have no problems other then it running rich. It's done this a few times over the past couple months and it's a rebuilt motor about 4k on it. Anyone have any idea? Puddling or something causing it?

Just as you stated - you car is running rich (black smoke). You possibly have fouled plugs. Replacing them should help the startup problem temporally but unless you determine why you are running rich (vac/boost leak) and fix it they simply continue to foul.

you also said you have white smoke. That means you are burning coolant. This can be caused by cracked head gasket, block, or head. May i suggest a compression test and if that show that the compression is leaking try to do a leak down test.
