Ok so like 2 weeks ago I put on a turboback exhaust besause the other one was totally destroyed. I put on a new exhaust side housing and actuator also ### they were bad. So a few days ago me and a bunch of friends went out cruising and when I went to get on it, it spooled right up until about 4700 and up. It was like some one threw a prarchute out the rear hatch. The thing was dead. Does anyone know what my problem could be. could it be my MAFT needs to be adjusted at the WOT dipswitch? Anyone please help me out.

It would help a lot if you had a datalogger to see what is going on. It would have to be a very big preturbo exhaust leak to cause no power but that would also cause slow spool. Does it hold PSI? It could be your MAFT but I wouldn't adjust anything until you get a logger to see what is going on. Sounds like your car is pulling mad timing for some reason. Does is shake or does it just feel like it's pulling power.

What do you mean the thing was dead? Did the engine shut off, or you just quit accelerating? Did the rpm's continue to rise yet you didn't feel any power?

Im gonna put on a new turbo j-pipe gasket on today and see if it was mabye a leak, but ive pressure tested it and it was fine, and it holds pressure when I hit boost so i doubt a leak. The car doesnt shake it just pulls power. I know ime getting my logger soon, but no soon enough.

How much PSI are you running? Probably pulling mad timing or if you have your heatshield off you are heatsoaking stuff and still pulling mad timing.

You do know that even if you have a huge boost leak the turbo will still hold boost. The turbo just works itseft harder to keep up with the leak.

No it will hit fuel cut before it feels like the car is dying. And he stated he pressure tested it already.

if you would have read his profile, you would have noticed he has an aftermarket clutch.. Im sure he is just running pig rich and his car needs to be tuned. my car was doing the same thing.

Im running 20-22psi. I just dont see why it never did this before. All I did was basically ran the stock 2" dp into 2.5" all the way back so I dont see how i could have really changed anything dramitacally except for my spool time ### i had soo much backpressure before.
