ok i live in oklahoma and man its cold, well i put 93 octane gas in my car from a station that i had never been too but its 93.3 octane . well since then my car has started on the 3rd to 6th crank. And its running rich as heck, you can smell the gas, the spark plugs have a white arm and a black ring. its stock as far as intake and egr etc. my battery is a 550cca so i think that should be enough. I dont know whats wrong. ANy help is by far appreciated. BTW once the car warms up it drives like normal boosts fine everything I think i should do a compression test though what should the commpresion be on a stock 7 bolt ?

Rich idle is a fairly common occurence under warm-up conditions. Understand as well that if you used the AFC to compensate for your WOT tune, you can also lean out your idle settings slightly. In addition, not having a cat will create more emissions and gasoline smell so that can also be a culprit. What most tuners don't realize is that it takes a certain amount of correction to get 550's to run like 450's at a base air/fuel setting of 9.5:1 (around 18-20%). You'll need to take away more fuel to get the motor to run at something like 11:1 which will make more power and be more efficient under boost.

While adjusting idle settings isn't as potentially harmful, leaning out your high throttle settings should only be done with a logger so that you can observe knock.

yes it does and yay you have perfect compression so that rules that out, 180 across the board. . no vacuum lines are loose, so my next try is a different battery im going to try to use the one from my moms van that should do the trick, BTW my profile says im running those things , WELL I actually have them in my possesion, but they are not installed yet I want the car to be running perfectly before i install something.
