So, i have 2 options. im putting in an act 2600 with a street disc. and in the install i was looking at my flywheel and it was discolored blue and cracked. So here is my delemma- i can either get a 6 bolt stock flywheel from a buddy with a vr4. or i can wait till friday and order a fidenza. the stock flywheel the kids asking 35 and the fidenza i can get pretty much brand new for 100 bucks. but i would really like my car to be ready for the subi shootout on saturday. but i can wait. so any input on what i should do?

I love my fidanza flywheel, it would be worth the wait. So I guess the real question is are you willing to miss the shoot out for a better flywheel? Or is 1 days worth of driving worth having a heavier flywheel. I mean I got my fidanza for 180 shipped, by the time you buy the stocker and have it resurfaced you are more then half way there. Let us know what route you go!

If you mean cracked, ditch it for a new one. If it's heat-checked, ask your machinist.
It's too cheap a part to worry over.

well guys i went with the stock replacment. my dad talked me into it saying i could save my 60 bucks and buy something i really need like gas and stuff like that. so i went ahead and bought the stock one. but if anyone else is intrested in the fidanza i was goign to buy heres the ebay link.

i hope i was some help to someone. Antoher question though, how much power do you really gain from the lighter flywheel? like is it a major noticable difference? or not.

It's not that you "gain power", but that you reduce the inertia the drivetrain has to overcome to produce acceleration, just as lighter wheels do.

I would just get it resurfaced. That is what I did. Some people have trouble with it dying when the car idles down.
