I am doing the turbo conversion for my 1g NT DSM. I would like to know what would be the best way to link in the coolant lines for the turbo without obtaining the stock turbo coolant pipes? Would it work If I linked it in-line with the TB? or would I expect problems with that?

I think youd be better off just looking around in junkyards or going to auto parts stores and buying the parts you need...

Do you even know everything your going tohave to do to convert?

You will need the turbo mass sensor and plug/ injector resistor pack ( grey thing on firewall) a turbo knock sensor ( unless you dont want to know your knock ) a wastegate solenoid ( thing on air can ) and a fuel pressure solenoid ( not sure if thats actually needed though i think it only helps with cold starts )
a turbo intake manifold would be nice ( because thats were the bov is tapped to )
you need a turbo ecu ( prefferably an eprom ) you need a bov, intercooler, exhaust manifold and turbo ( obviously ) and a stock downpipe unless your going to step up and do a custom ran one. And on top of that your going to have a little wiring to do, as far as the injector resistor pack/ and mass sensor plug, and then your going to have to run some wires back to the ecu that the turbo harness is missing. On top of that get a logger, because you will need some tuning to successfully make good boost on those n/t 9:1 pistons because too much knock on those and your finished.

Yes you could possibly use your FIAV ( coolant line to tb ) for the turbo coolant line, but youd still need the turbo coolant pipe for the one that goes behind the exhaust manifold. )
You could stick with your n/t tb, Im using an n/t tb because its bigger, youd just need custom pipeing to it since you wont have the elbow. Then youd need to snatch a oil cooler set up, or buy an aftermarket one. If your engine is a 90s that would be the best bet since they came with air to oil coolers ( which I have since I swaped in a 90's 6bolt. )

Now this is where it gets crazy, Ive read a thread where you could use the n/t tranny but youd have to stick with an n/t flywheel and clutch but youd def have to upgrade the clutch. But then again I hear the n/t tranny isnt good for anything over 250hp so if your goals are over that consider that you may need to get a whole gst tranny/ clutch set up.

Not easy, this is where ppl just gone and say forgot it and buy a stock turbo dsm.
Its not too hard if you have everything you need. Talk to mavisky
or Gsdewd they successfully did the swap and would know more about it than me.
Goodluck!
