Does anyone have any advice - Topline complete gasket kit or OEM gasket kit from SBR? I'm leaning towards OEM at the moment. It's a bit more money but I wanted to get someone else's opions or personal experiences on this. I also looked at getting all the gaskets individually from JNZ - but couldn't find every gasket that is needed.

Here is a link to the 2 kits I'm looking at. Thanks in advance!

I would definitely go with oem. Even though the price is a little higher, i think that oem is better quality being they were designed for the car. that's just my opinion.

I would have to say call SBR and ask someone their oponion. I would also recommend the OEM kit, but make sure you're getting that 4 layer metal headgasket along with the kit, as long as you're building it, might as well do it right.

I'm in the same boat as you, I was just looking at the 2 kits last night.

I was actually planning on running a Cometic HG....but haven't gotten to that point yet. Since my block is bored .020 over I doubt I can run the HG that comes in the complete kit anyways.

Did you look for the same gasket kit through JNZ instead of looking for gaskets seperately? http://www.jnztuning.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_41&products_id=48 :shhh:

I bought the TopLine upper kit from SBR and it's working just fine. My block is borred out and the TopLine gasket will work with a standard overbore. I am however running stock injectors at stock boost, and don't have plans to crank up the boost before I get a better HG put on. Just needed to get my car back on the road, and it saved me a lot of cash to by the TopLine kit from SlowBoy's.

$159 vs. $194 (with a decent headgasket)?

Doesn't seem like a great investment there.

I would no go with the topline kit. I used it to rebuild my engine about a month ago. It did not come withe the valve stem seals(listed in the contents of the kit.). I had to buy a cometic head gasket anyway(what it comes with appears to be stock). The oil pan gasket is to thick causing the oilpan to bulge and seep oil. I have not tired anything else but DONT GO TOPLINE!!!
