What kind of headgasket should I use, people are telling me I shouldnt use the 4 layer metal one, should I just go with the stock oem piece? I really don't want to put it in then end up blowing it again. Can you guys help me out?

It all depends on what you want to do. If the motor is going to see more boost then I'd say get the metal gasket. I personally would get one anyways because I know I'd use it sometime in the future. Don't forget new head studs...

just like he said it all depends, i put a mitsu 4 layer on my engine and it still runs great, i blew a few oem ones so it was time for something better, i would go with a mitsu or cometic. or hks.

it all depends...if your planning on running boost higher then 20lbs. then defentily go with a multi layer metal h.g. of some kind, but if not then deffinetly stick with a oem.( as stated above...throw in some ARP'S)

note: if you do plan on running a metal piece, the block and head must be resurfaced(usally involves taking out the long block and taking it to a machie shop) but if both of your sufaces;head, and blo0ck> have a 50ra or smoother then u will be fine. trust me DONT PUT A METAL PIECE ON, IF THE SURFACES ARENT SMOOTH...IT "WILL LEAK". hope this helps.

i used the cometic and its perfect. use some copper gasket sealent resurface the block and head use the arp's and your straight.
