Well I have to say this looks like a good quality fmic for 300$!!! Thumbs up for this product, lets hope installation goes smoothly :). Any tips from some1 who installed this before???

The install will take you awhile but its not to hard.Go the the ebay innercooler thread and go to page I think 9-10 and it will start telling you how to do it.

putting a front mount on isnt that difficult,....but its not whistling dixie...make sure you have all the tools necesary to do it and you'll be good...

Refer to the big thread.. thats all you need. Or go to the tech guides. GreddyGST wrote a detailed writeup. Any questions, thoughts, or questions you might ask later that you don't even know yet.. has been covered in the big thread.

Well everything seemed to go together very nicly, I had to get rid of the 90 they gave me and use a 90 deg. rad hose for the j-pipe outlet. Their 90 seemed too long. Also the fmic outlet into the intake had too much clearance to the next pipe so I used a 6" exhaust hose and also I drilled 2 holes in the bov flange to fit my type-s bov. Other than that everything looks great the only problem Im having is figuring out where Im gonna put my coolant tank OMG. Thanks for the help the pics from the big thread helped me alot. Time to take her for a test drive before the bumper goes back on! :dsm:

Everything looks good the 90 had to be replaced with a hose and I had to eliminate one coupler and use a 6" hose. I drilled 2 holes to fit my greddy bov. Everything seems fine the pics in the big thread helped thankx for that! :dsm:

Is it only being held by the top mount?

When I first got the kit, thats how I mounted it. It was crooked like that too.

The ideal way to mount it is using the existing foglight holes. I redid the entire installation. However I am more satisfied with it. All the pipes lineup perfect. It's mounted very securely. Also the way I had it mounted before (the way you havfe it now) I had to trim the bumper a lot more because it stuck out more.

That was my mistake, I hacked the bumper for the previous install, now how I installed after, there is more room so my bumper is super hacked. Oh well, live and learn.

No I've drilled out for bolts on the mounting tees on boths sides that bolt to the bump stop, so when Im all done Ill tighten those up, I can adjust em any way I like to crook the fmic one way or another. The reason why I didnt want to move it to the left to avoid cutting the bumper was because I was worried it wouldnt be centered in the grille. Other than that its pretty solid except for that damn hose that keeps popping off.:beatentodeath:

Well I fixed the hose and was puttin the bumper back on the fog light does clear the inlet pipe but the bumper (inner part of the grille) hits the fmic, have any of you guys ever had to dremel this out? I figured I should not only to get it to fit but to help get air to the upper part of the innercooler ### the bumper covers the top half of it.... lemmie know what you think.

If you are trying to keep the foglights you cant. They wont clear as you are finding out now.

the fog lights clear perfectly the "airway" where the mouth of the bumper is is hitting the actual core.

I don't believe you are able to keep your foglights. Hundreds have installed this and have found this out. So im curious to see how you are saying you can keep your foglights.

What I think you mean, is the holes for the foglights on the bumper are clearing, but another part of the bumper is not, and is hitting the fmic.

If this is the case, yea this is common, like most fmics, TRIM THE BUMPER

Dont have a pic right now but heres a drawing, the foglights DO clear the piping but the bumper hits the core, forgive my artistic skills.....

So what I said above was right.. and like I said, trim the bumper.

Also I want to see a picture of functional foglights with this kit on.

So you are saying, the stock foglights, are ON THE CAR, WITH THE FMIC ON, AND the bumper cover on? And working?

could you not use some small projector type foglights? I should ask this is the bigger thread, just curious I'm not looking into an fmic yet.. but has anyone does it on a talon? is it possible to keep the stock talon fogs?

I dont have foglights installed but the holes where they go in didnt have to be cut at all to clear the pipes, Ill get to cutting on that thing at work today.:dsm:

does the IC look kinda slanted a bit?, or have you just not finished fitting it properlly?
