Please Hep Identify This Ecu

I got a '93 Eclipse GS as part of a trade. and I found this ECU in the back.
it's layed out quite differently from the one installed right now. I cant seem to find out what it belongs to:

is it just an open board like that or is there a case with the part number on it?

can you be sure of that?

because the ECU in the car now is layed out differently and is part number MD166255 which is also 2.0l NA FWD from what I'm seeing

is one of them fed-spec?

I plugged the mystery ECU into the car and actually ran it for the last two weeks. but pulled it because something's burning on it (not the caps)

both ECU's I have are for the same car. just different production dates.

One of the clues is the 4472A on the connector. That number would match the last 4 digits of the ET2 number on the case which in this case tells me that this is the board from a MD128624 ECU. That's a ECU for a 1990 NA car not a 1993 NA car. The pin for the IPS moved in the connector between 90 and 91. (Actually the pins for the IPS and MAF reset swapped but NA cars don't have a MAF reset signal)

whats the differemts between federal and califprnia ECU is it just emissions??
