Hi Guys,
I have a few questions related to Cam Angle Sensor. The reasons i am asking these questions because my car current has a 1g (from previous owner) CAS (89-92, greenish cover) and it causing random misfire, lossing power at 3k rpm ect, so i want to replace it. I never replaced a CAS before.

1) When replacing the 2g CAS on a 97 TSI what are the procedures
2) Do I have to mess around with the timing ?
3) Do i need to replace the Crank Angle Sensor too ?

Thank Very Much
V

Unbolt 1g cas. Bolt on 97 cas. That's it. 97 cas isn't adjustable, so don't worry about timing. Only thing is, was the cas inverting using DSMLink or are the wires physically rewired? Also, plug wires will need to be swapped back to normal (4123) for 97 cas to function properly. Any questions, just ask.
