i went to junkyard to get an altenator.when i got home it said SONATA on the tag . i didn't pay much attention at the yard because they looked the same! so what other cars can i get a altenator from ? i did a search and nothing showed up.

i took it to advance auto they said its pushing 11 ,called junkyard he said thats right ,until i hook battery up thats all it will push ,is this correct?

he said som ething about the diode has to have juice going to it to charge it up?

hmm I'm not too formilar with autozone's machine so i can't say for sure. But spinning that pulley should output 14.5v. What did they say? did they say it was good/bad?
It only takes me about 15 minutes to change an alternator, I guess it couldnt hurt to throw it in and see what it outputs on your car hooked up.
