Ok so I just installed the xs power fmic for the one gen and it looks great i will take pictures tomorrow when it is light for all you people who are interested. Ok so I installed the kit and took it for a drive with the boost turned down to 12 psi from its normal 15.5 and I got it all warmed up and waiting for that first punch and when I hit it everyting seems great tell I get about 4000 rpm and it starts to cut out and back in and jerk the rest of the way up the rpms. I know every one will say boost leak boost leak do a boost leak test because i just installed a front mount. I have not done one but i have checked all the couplers many times and they are on straight and very tight so even if there is a small leak i dont think it would be making my car do this. I have felt this befor in my car but very small and only very once in a while could the larger intercooler and pipe just have amplified an already existing problem.

Seriously, please do a boost leak test. :thumb:

I swear it should be a rule before you post, do a boost leak test!
Do let us know the results though, I want to know exactly how long you can pressurize your intake tract at 20psi for.

Good luck!

i will tomorrow. how long should i be able to. dont i need to block off the mbc line and what about the bov recerc pipe.

Provided your MBC is not a bleeder type and your BOV is not leaking you shouldn't have to do anything really.
You will remove your intake pipe so your recirc. tube will go with it. You will want the outlet of your BOV free from any hoses etc so you can hear/see it leaking if it does.
Spraying your BOV, it's flange and couplers and your throttle body etc etc with soapy water ( I used windex and it worked fine) will make soap bubbles where there are leaks so that they are easier to identify.
It varies how long you "should" be able to hold the 20psi once you've built that much pressure. If it all leaks out to 0psi in like 5 seconds or less you've got serious leaks, 15 seconds, yeah probably some big leaks but if you can hold it for 30 seconds or more I'd say you're in decent shape (though you can never be too sure!).
Also, unscrew your oil cap for the process, Oldman taught me that trick. :rocks:

dont all my valves have to be closed how do i know when they are just hit and miss.
