I am begining to tune my 99 gsx and need some questions answered. this is what i have

99 GSX
7 bolt
GM MAF and MAFT
Aeromotive AFPR and Fuel Rail
EVO 8 Denso 560 Injectors
Warlbro 255
Bitz BOV (Venting)
HAhn Racecraft Super 16g turbo kit 18psi
FMIC
palm-n-stein pocket logger (i know it is not very great but help me work with it)
AEM UEGO wideband

I read several threads on this matter including VFAQ and RRE

one thread said to zero (0%) my long term fuel trim (LTFT) is this correct?

do 2g have a short term fuel trim (STFT)? if not why is my pocket logger getting readings for STFT?

right now according to one of the threads to start i should set me base adjustments for -10% on my AFC

then start tuning up or down according to my LTFT starting at idle to get my LTFT to be 0? is this right?

then free rev to 1k, 2k and 3k and make sure the LTFT is at 0. is this right?

carry my adjustments all the way through 7k and should be the same for the hi-throttle settings for now right?

after everything is done and i got my LTFT set +/- 10% for a couple of days then start tuning my hi throttle.

do i log RPM, O2v and Timing, or RPM, O2v and Airflow?

I am new at tuning so please be patient thanks

any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes i am using SAFC..sorry i forgot to mention that earlier. I got my LTFT sitting close to 0% throughout all gears. is this good?

i also used that table...

on fuel tuning I inserted my information. what do i put in for the % air flow correction, snd % above stock

dont forget the FP issue

guys, this is a weird problem.. we both have rewired pumps (i put my stock pump back on,but rewired) and the same aeromtive afpr

i set mine to 43 psi with vacuum off, tygers wont fall below 50 psi! we thought the guage might be bad (so we switched mine on but we got the same results?!?) does this have anything todo with his 6an fuel line from the filter and the big aem Fuelrail?? cause im thinking that fuel pressure is making tygers 550s run like 600 cc injectors...

so i relaced the 6 AN fitting ony my fuel filter with the stock banjo fitting in hopes it may correct my fuel pressure but it stayed the same. next I checked the return line and see if the piping is bent or somewhat restricted but I found nothing. Any ideas?

hmm, what about using a rubber return line instead of a SS braided one? you cant see if its kinked on the inside..
