Ok, i got my engine pulled yesterday and tore it down today. once i got it all tore down pistons out and everything i noticed something while looking at the engine while it was upside down on stand. some kind of little gold tubes at each cylinder? they are mounted to the block and have little tubes coming off of them and pointing towards the cylinder. i checked vfaq and found nothing. i have tore down many engines but always v-8's and just havent seen these thigns before are they soemthing i need to take out before dipping the block or change with the rebuild?

thanks

Oil squirters. They shoot oil on the pistons to cool them down.If you tank the block, take them out so the passages get clean.Theyre fine to re-use as long as they're not gummed up or destroyed.
