hotsyncing for ever?

i have a palm m100 and i just went to put on the mmcd and it was hotsyncing for a whole day so i canceled it and restarted the palm and it just sits there saying backing up data. how long should this take? how many files should there be in the palm one folder on my cpu cus i have like 50 or more in the folder?

It depends on how many saved files/programs you have on your palm. i have a bunch of games and logs on mine so it takes a little while to back everything up when i hot sync. My buddy uses my computer to hotsync his and he has only added mmcd so it doesn't take any time at all. if you go on your c drive and look under ProgramFiles\palmOne\username\Backup (username being what you named that profile) it will show you everything that will be backed up (provided you didn't choose to install the program somewhere else). That should give you an idea of what will occur when you hot sync. I'm pretty sure something you could try to speed up the process is when you start the palm one session and it ask for the user create a new one. then when you hot sync there wont be anything in the backup file for the new user name and you can get down to business. i dont have any logs these are all files that came on the palm. what programs do i need on the palm to make it run that way i kno what to delete.
