My friends and I are putting a rebuilt engine back in. It's a 91 AWD and it's just about ready to go in on Thursday. I was wondreing what motor mount is the easiest to put in 1st? Or if anyone has a sequence they have found easier then just random.

I would put the rear mount in first, then the front, then the tranny side, then timing belt side. Thats the order I did mine. The rear one is a pain to get in so do it first. Once you have the front and rear in you can use a jack underneath to tilt the motor left or right up or down to line up the left and right mounts. Hope this helps.

If it really matters, I install the block first. Then the mounts and starter are like right at your fingertips. Then I put the head with the intake already attached on. When I take a motor out for repair,I do just the opposite.
