I checked all the pulleys and the belts are really tight and are just fine when driving normally but, the second I do a launch while turning the alternator belt comes flying off and the a/c belt comes off its track. This led to a very long night last night and I need help.

Any ideas what could have caused this? Could the belts be too tight? I changed all the belts the other day (timing belt included) and they are all brand new.

I had the exact same problem, the harmonic balancer was starting to crack up, and then when i was running it looking at the belts i saw it come all the way off.
Definitely check all the pulleys, one of thems bound to be out of wack.
