Do DSMs have some kind of anti-siphoning mechanism???

The reason I ask is because I need to do some work on my 2g Tsi and I could put the full tank of gas to better use for now...

Thanks

I dont know about that, but there are ways of running your fuel pump to drain the tank. Search the forums, i recently came across a thread that explained how (there is a connector in the engine bay or some thing)
sorry i cant be more help.

not really, I siphoned mine a few times. But then, I have a talon DL not TSI so, it might be diffrent but all I can say is try it and see (not much advice is it)

Yeh its not guna happen man. The tube has a screen for starters.....then it goes down into a actual pipe and the end of the pipe is bent in the middle so the middle touches the bottom....BUT you still have 2 holes so gas gets in. This is why when you pump your gas at the station it shuts off and then shortly after you can pump some more. Its cause those holes are big enough to flow but not enough to flow as much as the pump puts out. So it has to drain. Now look man for some people here they have started threads like to this steal gas and use this excuse indirectly. Hey when prices reached 3.50 here i went out gas tank hunten and let me tell you its hard. I didnt get anything but lets just say you cant now a days. Vehicle producers have many ways to stop this now. You cant suck gas out anymore like you used to. Now if you arent one of these people, take your fuel line off your fuel rail, catch the gas in the rail with a cup or soak it up with a cloth (if you dont care about it)....Then from there you pull the line off so it can go into gas can and you get in your car and turn the key and it will pump a little....THEN STOPS!!! so you have to sit there turning the key on and off....(it sucks and dont mind the car alarm beep after 3 turns) Just keep doing it and it took me 30 minutes with a 5 gallon can to drain my GS tank. Thats with pouring it into the other cars and cleaning the tiny spilt gas.
