Alarm Issue

Hey guys i just installed a new door switch and now when i open my doors my alarm goes off? it is an aftermarket hellfire alarm but the last guy took the siren and remotes for it i really want this to stop it turns my hazards on for three minutes and blinks all my interior lights its very annoying!!!! ANY help would be appreciated Thanks!

your door triggers work now!

when you open your door, the door triggers finishes the ground path and when the alarm sees a ground on that particular wire, it will go off. When your doors are closed, the wire doesn't see anything, or it shouldn't see anything. When you open your door, the trigger/switch touches ground, setting off your alarm.

You can either try to get a hold of some hellfire transmitters and program them to your alarm, or get rid of the alarm's brain and harness completely.

I would get rid of it entirelly and install a new alarm.

ok ill just take it out completly does that mess anything up or can i just leave the wires hanging?

The alarm probably spliced a few wires in your car to control the current into the harness/brain, depending on the features of the alarm. After you remove the brain/harness just make sure you hook the spliced wires back up correctly. You could probably get the wirring diagram from hellifire if you need it. Or if you want the alarm I'm sure a transmitter is really cheap.
