I finally put everything together and now when we try to run the 1gina2g it doesnt keep idle. Everytime i start the car it will struggle to start -> hit normal idle -> misfire a couple times -> die out. The cas is wired properly. Will not having a map sensor in have problems with keeping idle? ? If theres anything that could be the culprit please help!

The mdp sensor is not your problem. Any check engine lights? I would just check for leaks and make sure the mas is plugged in.

All the vac lines are in besides 1 which i just found, but i have no idea where it goes. Its a nipple behind the intake manifold(1g). The coil is the 7bolt's coil pack it should still be good and i have two igniters but it seems to be doing the same thing. One thing new is that i got the car to idle more than 10 seconds but then after that id have to tap the gas abit to keep it alive for another 10 seconds or so. Let me know if you know of anything else i should be looking for.:(

Ps. It still struggles and misfires..... I do have a check engine light and ill be looking into that soon.

Recheck your timing with a light. Make sure it's 5* BTDC. Make sure you aren't one tooth off. Then, if it still struggles, you can try checking the CAS. It might be 180* turned around. But I'd bet it's timing.

Brake booster? Is it a pretty big nipple?

yes it is a large nipple on the back of the intake manifold.

How would i check the timing if the car wont stay steady?? And if its off that would mean id have to redo the timing belt right? Am i doing something wrong when setting timing?? this is like the 3rd time i gotta redo... due to rushing things..:( any tips on redoing the timing if i gotta redo it?

ps. am i able to check to see if timing is good without having the car started?

I love how everybody is skipping the fact that he doesn't have the brake booster line hooked up which is a HUGE leak and is most likely the cause of the car not wanting to idle.

Hook it up, it goes to the brake booster which is all the way to the left (driver side) and is against the firewall. It's a big circular black piece with a same sized nipple on it.

One easy way to see if that's the problem or not: just put some tape or something to seal that nipple off and then start the car and see if it idles.

Also, don't just use a plain hose for that line. You need a hose with a check valve in it otherwise your brakes will not work when you are in boost.

So far plugging up the brake booster helped alot THX!:thumb: but now i got real shity idle. It would run smooth then drop all the way to 200 for a good 10 seconds then jump back up and lots of stutterin. No cels yet. As of right now im bout to check up on any boost leaks (probably the problem). But if theres anything else that could be a problem let me know. THX!

ps. theres alot of fuel fumes (enough to make my nose hair sting)... and white smoke? or something seeping out of my exhaust manifold....

Get a DSMLINK, all your problems will be solved. I did the same swap and with the DSMLINK I can make the car idle perfectly.

Okay so with the testing and all I found some leaks and got the car the sit almost still... little up and down here and there maybe a 200rpm drop/raise. The white smoke still comes out.. its alittle at first until the car warms up then it seeps out more. I did a cooling system test and it came out okay no problems with holding pressure, so I believe there's no coolant leaking. I also tried a compression test... but I have no idea if I'm doing it right or not because the numbers came out to be 80-30-80-50.... ... Could it be my battery not giving the car enough juice?? The car has been sitting there for awhile now... If you can give me any info/advice please!! Thank you.

PS. I also can't get the car to start normally. I'd have to put the key to start and jump the starter.. Whats up with that? HELP!!
