Ok first off Monday I am getting my 1999 Mitsubishi Spyder GS-T. I currently have a 1999 GS. So im very excited I can finally mod a car worth modded not that the GS is bad just alot easier on GS-T and GSX I think. So I have created a basic story board for my cars future and would like to see what people think. I have been searching and learning on the forums for last week or so and I have been a member for awhile.

Goals
-Moderate Horsepower with some Style (my style may differ)
-GM MAS + GM-T mod for vented BOV (my style plus it allows better air flow?)
-FMIC
-Open Air filter+Intake pipe
-Big 16g turbo
-2.5 - 3" exhaust

Car Use
- Daily driver to work/school
- Raceing at the drags I love to do this! Hopeing possible mid 12's low 13's?
- Be reasonable strong against other cars make em think twice ;)

My thought of upgrade order!
1. Boost Gauge why do anything without knowing your doing something!
2. Boost controller same as above need to know its working right!
3. Intake + K&N Filter
4. BOV
5. 2.5 - 3" Exhaust turbo back
6. Intercooler pipes
7. FMIC
8. Logger

Finally the Big 16g turbo to top her off.

Questions
- As I stated above I wish to do the GM MAS switch and vent the BOV. When would be the best time to do this I know I can cut my UIC pipe to make it fit no biggy there. I know I need the logger to make sure everything is peachy. But all im worried about is getting the new Intake pipe that allows the bov to blow back into the intake and when I do the GM MAS switch I vent to the atm and the intake will have a open port in it. My thought of the solution would be to mabye do the mod on the stock intake until I decide to do the GM MAS switch? good bad?

Also I know it wouldn't be a bad idea to upgrade the fuel pump and such but at what im looking at for the car would it be a problem if I didn't upgrade it in the order above?

Any other opinions or thoughts would be much appricated I believe im on the right track. This all will not happen very fast it will happen as the money comes into play so im just tring to map out my cars future in a reasonable manor.

Thank You!

Your going to upgrade your turbo, upgrading the fuel pump shouldnt just be an idea, it should be part of your plan. Along with injectors. Depending on the size fuel pump you will need a FPR.

Check out the various upgrade guides online, it will give you more ideas.

I don't know too much about the blowthru setup so I will let someone who does reply. If you don't want to buy things twice, buy everything at once. You should do a search on it just to make sure thats what you really want. I hope your not getting it just so you can vent. The stock 2g mas air flow is rated pretty good from threads regarding this issue . I believe some even decided to go back because tuning became a bit more difficult to fine tune. Again I'm just speaking from threads regarding this, so wait for people who have personal experience, or do a search on the subject.

your stock MAF on a 2g is good enough for your goals. Put the logger closer to the top of the list because its a very important tool to help you diagnosing problems and getting the most out of future upgrades

He kinda already just came out and said it was for mostly style which I'm sure he's refering to sound. I mean, hey, who doesn't love the sound of a BOV and at least he didn't make up a lame excuse of runing it, he's just being honest. But you are right, for his power goals, if he wasn't worried about a louder BOV, the 2g MAF would be sufficient for his intended setup.

I think your upgrade path is going in the right direction. I have the Big Evo III 16G and when you bolt that on you're going to want atleast 550cc injectors, a 190lph fuel pump (if you go 255 you will need a FPR and a 190 is sufficient for what you want to do), you'll also need a way to control/tune that bigger turbo and injectors, so get some type of Fuel Management system, I personally have an S-AFC-II. The Injectors, Fuel Pump and some type of AFC is a must to support the 16G. Also do yourself a favor when you buy the 16G get that thing ported and put an upgraded 34mm flapper on it, that thing will boost creep, especially if you have a 2.5" - 3" exhaust like I do. Also get your 02 housing ported as well, that's my 2 cents. :D

Well the car im getting is going to be a daily driving car for me. Work/School I drive alot. So im not going 100% into the horsepower well I am sorta just not as intense. The GM MAS thing I can hold off who knows mabye I won't feel the need for it after a few of the upgrades. If worse comes to worse I can just do the GM MAS switch and plug the intake or buy another one without the port on it. (If i really really want it that bad and want to spend the money)

I will throw the fuel management in before the turbo for sure as I see all of you marked it as a must thank you for the help.

Thanks again for the help I think ill redo my board here and start the researching of the parts I need.
