so ive decided to sell my car in the near future, shocks are blown and i couldve bought megans, but now im just looking for replacements. if i can't get a buyer, im just goign to keep it, hence the question about adjustable AND non adjustable shocks. lets hear some recommendations on kyb, koni, etc...

Non-adjustable: KYB GR2's... They're stock replacements, and people have had lots of good experience with them

Adjustable: I've heard good stuff about all of them... KYB AGX's, Tokicko Illuminas, Koni Yellows, etc.

Previous owner of my car had to replace the whole suspension, so he did GR2's. They're pretty rough on the car, but it's probably not any worse than stock. My planned upgrade is the Tokiko Illuminas for adjustability. RRE has a good comparison of a few standards:

GR-2's are cheap, $300 at RRE and maybe less locally. I heard a lot of good reviews of the Illuminas ($550?) and I'd love to see if they're better than GR2's. If you're going to sell soon and don't want to dump money in, just throw on GR2's like the guy I bought my car from. If you're going to keep it you might as well get what you want now.

Can anyone compare GR2's and Illuminas? Just curious. They both seem affordable for what they are.

gr2's look good. they go for less than $200 shipped on ebay. think im gonna go with those.

Go with the GR2's if you want a cheap non adjustable strut. The Tokico blues are not very good quality, I've had bad experiences with them on other cars, the build quality is not very good.

But if we're talking adjustable, I would take the Illuminas over the AGX's.
