Hissing sound

I did boost leaks test and hear a noise but have not found yet.Are there any parts that need to be capped or corked b4 test? Hiss sounds like it is under the throttle body area. Any ideas? Or did I forget to cap something?

Sounds like you may have leak at your throttle body shaft seals or gaskets. Get some soapy water and a spray bottle. Pressurize the system and spray it all over the TB and look for bubbles... if there are any then there is your leak

The TB gasket may be bad or the bolts may need tightening.

I thought I should mention when performing a boost leak test you have to turn up the boost setting on the boost controller or remove it from the system, because it bleeds off pressure.

Also check to make sure that the o-ring around the BISS screw is still in tact as that is a common boost leak spot.

I have same problem, I replace new gasket for TB and elbow, but I still heard the hiss sound under the TB. BTW what is TB shaft seal ?

Are you sure it's under the throttle body? I did a boost leak test a while back and found out one of my injector seals was leaking. After a while, they get all hard and plastic-ey and don't seal like they should. I bought a set of four from the dealer and put them in. Problem solved.

They seal the injectors to the head. Here's the part number: MD087060
