Help with fuel pump re-wire

I re-wired the fuel pump exactly as it says on the vfaq. It ran fine yesterday for about an hour or 2, but when I went to walmart and came back out to start it, it started then died right away. It finally started after 2 or 3 minutes. I then went to get some gas and when I got back in it to leave it did the same thing, but this time I had to wire it back the way it was. started fine then. Now.. today I tried to wire it back to the relay. I bought a new relay just incase. It still wont start, but it keeps blowing the pink fuse on the left side of the battery, anybody have any sugestions on what I could check?

That is the ignition fuse and if your blowing it you've developed a short to ground.
Double check how you wired up the relay. It sounds like this started when you put the new relay in.

Thanks, that was it. Had it wired backwards.

One more question... Why is it that it was running fine, then when I turn it off, it will not start? Is the relay getting hot after its been running for while or what?
