Alright, whenever I'm driving my 1g n/t DSM lately ill be just cruising and all of a sudden the engine will start to kind of bog...i guess you could say its misfiring? but i dont know if thats right or not...all I know is ill be cruising and the engine will start to skip...and this usually happens once a day..then it stops...it will do it for about a minute then just start running fine again...any help is appreciated

Keep it simple. Change your wires, plugs, and especially ## fuel filter. Pretty much a basic tune-up. My 1g nt had similar simptums and eventually died. It turned out to be the fuel pump, but like I said keep it simple. If you want, check ## ignition by using a screw driver. Stick it in each plug wire while some one cranks to see if a spark will jump to ground on the block. If you got a strong spark on every wire than remove your plugs. Check for carbon deposits and proper gap. To check you fuel pump and filter remove you plugs from ## coil pack, get a bucket and set it under the area of the fuel line. Remove the fuel line from the top of the filter going to the fuel rail. Have someone turn the key to the on position while you check to see the fuel run out of the filter. If fuel comes out while the pump tries to prime in a descent amount than you know you got a good filter and pump. Try this first and drop me a line.:thumb:
