Hi, I would of posted this in tunning, but im a newbie.
I am switching over to gm maf/ dsmlink from safc/2gmas.
I heard somwhere that you dont need a translator if you have dsmlink. Is this true?
My friend said that you just had to splice in a way to plug the wideband in and the dsmlink would act as the translator. Is this true?
This is going on a 1g talon tsi awd.

Thanks for you help.

No, you need the translator to run a gm maf with dsmlink. you will also need a wideband or map sensor to properly calibrate it with dsmlink.
