Your back yard is the best place. Go to autozone and buy a compression tester. Get online and find an faq for doing the test. Good luck to yah!

Like he said, buy a tester. They're cheap, and it's really easy to do it yourself.

Here is a good site for a compression test. If you're at higher elevation than sea level, (I found Google Earth a great way to find my altitude) you need to correct your compression results, as they'll be lower at high elevation than sea level.
