So here is the problem. When in any gear and pushing on the accelerator with moderate or full pressure my car revs about 2000 RPM past where it should be as boost is building then when my crappy stock gauge says i'm at full boost pressure the car drops 1500-2000 RPMS back down then takes off like a rocket. I can hear air escaping from near the throttle body. Could this be a EGR vacum leak? Can that be fixed by getting the RRE silicone hose kit? Is this the throttle body? Need some advice before I start repairs.

With the information at hand, I see no reason for this to be related to vacuum or throttlebody-anything.

My thoughts are that your clutch is going out, and bad.

Can you provide some more details?
When you are on the highway and you mash the gas does the car slowly pick up speed while the RPM's skyrocket?

Definately clutch slippage. Depending on your situation whether or not you have another car, you can probably get away with driving it just babying it around. You definately need to get it fixed asap.

I would use an OEM clutch unless, you race a lot (especially since you are AWD) or if you have future plans of modding more than your profile says you have. If not then go to a parts store and buy a liftime clutch. I am not sure of the price but my guess is it wouldn't be more than 175 for the clutch and throughout bearing. Then the only other thing you need to do is resurface your flywheel which is about 30. If you do everything yourself, I don't see you spending over 200, and you and a friend can do it in one day as long as a shop is open to resurface your flywheel. But if you go aftermarket, I really like ACT.

Well over the next two years I do plan to mod the car to at least 275 horse but nothing over 300...ever. How many hours would this take from a relatively experienced mechanic? It's going to be a while before I can start spending money on modifications, should I just do it now? 90% of the slippage has gone away since I retightened (back to spec) all my belts.

I would say get the ACT 2100. I have the ACT 2100 6 puck and I love it, some people say get the 2600 but for the power levels that both of us are going for its fine. It also has a lesser chance of causing the 7 bolt to crankwalk. It would probably be an all day job, depending if you have a lift or jack stands. Like I said if its slipping right now its only going to get worse, but depending on your situation you might be okay for a while.
