!@#% it! I used the wrong oil, drain it?

Long story short, I just changed the oil in my 95 TSi

Oil capacity is 4.7 quarts, I used 1 gallon of Valvoline 10w-30 and for the last ~.7 quart, I accidentally used plain sae 30 Valvoline.

Since the manual says 5w-30 is recommended (I used 10w because it's been so hot), and I used 10w-30 for the majority of the oil, shouldn't I be fine because it will mix up, or do I need to drain it and refill with all 10w-30?

I'm pretty sure I'm okay, but I need to hear what the wisemen have to say about my mistake.

Interesting. It says right on my oil cap to use 10w30... I think.
Please correct me someone, or is this just a difference between the 95-96 2g's and the 97+?

10w-30 is fine. That is what I run in my car. You should be totally fine with the mixup. Of the last .7 quarts.

I also run 10w-30. As they said, you will be completely fine. No need to drain it and waste all that oil.

Yup, won't matter at all, particularly in the summer. You probably throw away your oil before it's used anyway.
